Find Books and Other Materials
The National Library owns about 3.3 million volumes. For that reason, most of the books are not on open shelves in the library. The only books on open shelves are those in the Reference Library.
Visitors to the National Library can also read Swedish e-books.
The bulk of our book collections can be searched in our online catalogs, Regina and LIBRIS. A smaller portion of the older material has not yet been entered, and you can find it in the card catalogs. Certain special collections cannot be searched in the card catalogs, and are listed in Special Collections.
